Strawberry Banana Smoothie
This smoothie is very popular when you go out to restaurants and smoothie shops but it is much cheaper and healthier to make it at home. You only need four ingredients to make this smoothie, a really good base recipe and you can always build on with extra ingredients and customize it however you like. This is also a good way to introduce kids to smoothies because most kids love the taste of strawberries and bananas.
To get started, you will place everything on a blender on high speed, and start with about two cups of strawberries chopped or whole. The next ingredients are bananas and you can use fresh bananas or frozen bananas when you have a lot of bananas at home and they start to ride, you can just chop them up and then place them in the freezer so whenever you want to make this smoothie or any other smoothies, you have your bananas ready.
Add the bananas to the blender then you will add some Greek yoghurt but if you want to keep this vegan you can use coconut yoghurt or any other yoghurt that you like. You will add about half a cup of yoghurt band this will make your smoothie nice and thick. Finally, you will need liquid and the liquid of choice here is milk, you can use any kind of milk you want or also apple juice.
Get the blender on high speed for about 45 seconds, the colour will be beautiful, the texture will be nice and creamy and thick. If you want to customize, there are many ways to do so and think of this as the base recipe. You can add protein powder and it will bulk it up and make it an ideal meal after a workout.
If you add greens to it, it will add lots of vitamins and nutrients, especially for little children. Get your glasses ready and pour the smoothie in them then to finish them and make them more adorable, put fresh strawberries on top on the side. Try this smoothie today and enjoy it.
