Crispy Roasted Garlic Chicken
The black pepper garlic roasted chicken recipe is simple. The seasonings used are relatively common. To bake, use an oven, air frying oven, or air fryer. It is best to use an oven with air frying or hot air for crispy chicken skin. Adding beer to the marinating process can make the roasted chicken taste more flavorful.
Use a chicken with relatively tender meat. The best weight is about one and a half to two kilograms. Start by washing your chiken repeatedly with water, then pat it dry. Add 500 ml beer to a large bowl, soak the chicken, black peppercorns, sea salt, bay leaves, and cinnamon, then add water to cover the chicken, soak it completely, then refrigerate and marinate for 12 to 24 hours.
After marinating, dry the chicken inside and out with kitchen paper, put half an onion in the belly, and add half a lemon to the chicken. For more giant chickens, put a whole lemon, and finally, use a toothpick to seal the butt like a slit to ensure that the juice does not leak out during the baking process.
You can use an oven or an air fryer, but I recommend using an oven; the effect of crispy skin and tender meat will be better. Grease a baking pan and spread garlic cloves on the bottom of the pan. Grease the chicken all over. Oil such as chicken fat, lard, and cooking oil can be used. Then, put the chicken on top of the garlic and place it on the middle and lower floors of the oven.
Turn on the hot air at 100 degrees, bake for an hour, then turn it to 220 degrees and bake for 30 minutes for colouring. The same method is used in the air fryer. Place the garlic cloves in the frying basket. Apply oil all over the chicken and place it on the garlic.
Many air fryers have a shortcut button for roasting chicken. The temperature and time are set. It is generally recommended to roast chicken at 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Bake until you are satisfied with the colour. The skin is crispy, the meat is tender, and the garlic underneath is delicious. Enjoy…
