This homemade peanut butter recipe is really easy to make and you can make it in three ways. You can make it just plain with the peanuts, the second you can make it with chocolate and the third is with almond which is really delicious. Before making the peanut butter, lightly toast the peanuts in the oven just until they are nutty and golden brown.

The first version is the crunchy peanut butter and you are going to add about a third cup the peanuts in a food processor and pulse until they are broken down then set them aside you will use at the end of this recipe. Throw the remaining peanut in the food processor and turn it on, the nuts will go from whole to tiny pieces to somewhat of a clump and eventually turn into a shiny paste.

Depending on the type of peanuts you use, you may add a little oil to help them along. You can stop at this point or add some sweetness with honey and salt for flavor. To finish this version, grab the broken down peanuts and toss them in the peanut butter and stir them in. For the almond peanut butter, you will use half toasted almonds and half toasted peanuts, place them into a food processor and let them go until they are smooth.

You can also add 100% almonds for pure almond butter. If you need to, you can add a little oil to get them along then season with what you love, once smooth, remove from the food processor and pour the almond peanut butter into a jar or tin. For the chocolate peanut butter, you will start by pulsing the peanut butter in the food processor until they are smooth then you will add powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt for taste, and some oil.

After about a minute on the food processor, it should be shiny, thick, and delicious. This will last over a month, cover and place them in the refrigerator and if the peanut butter separates overtime just give it a good stir with a spoon. Pick youe=r version and spread it with your favorite bread and enjoy it.
