You are going to absolutely fall in love with these cheese-stuffed meatballs. It so amazing and making these slow cooker meatballs is perfect for your dinner today. To stuff the meatballs you need to mix all the ingredients together to make the meatballs apart from the mozzarella. To do this put everything in a bowl and gently massage everything together using your hands. First, you are going to work out the meat mixtures into a large mixing bowl. You can use a combination of beef and pork with meatballs and it will make a nice texture with flavor. You could also use all beef or pork or you could also use chicken or turkey. Season that with salt and pepper, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, eggs milk and parsley.

Start mushing everything together and once done, take a small amount of meat and simply roll together in your hands until you get a little ball. Put all your balls into a plate. Meanwhile, take some dry mozzarella cheese and cut them into cubes and take one of your meatballs and take a piece of cheese and press it into the center of the meatball and carefully just reform the meat around the cheese and place that in a different plate. Do the sane for the rest of your meatball until they are done then on a slow cooker add 500 grams of pasta sauce then arrange the meatballs into the slow cooker. Once done, simply pour another sauce over the top then put on the lid and allow that to cook for two and a half hours.

Ingredients;

  • 7 cups crushed tomato (1.4 kg)
  • ⅓ cup onion, chopped (50 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Meatballs;

  • 1 lb beef (455 g)
  • 1 lb mild sausage (455 g)
  • 1 cup breadcrumb (115 g)
  • ⅓ cup onion, chopped (50 g)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese (25 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 sticks mozzarella cheese, cut into 4-5 even pieces each
  • ½ Parsley

Instructions;

  1. Combine all sauce ingredients in the slow cooker and stir.
  2. Set to high and cover while making meatballs, or for 30 minutes.
  3. Combine all meatball ingredients except the mozzarella in a large bowl.
  4. Using your hands, mix until fully combined.
  5. Take a golf ball sized piece of the ground beef mixture and place a piece of mozzarella in the middle.
  6. Press meat around the piece of cheese, fully enclosing it. Repeat until all meat is used.
  7. Place meatballs in a slow cooker and submerge in sauce.
  8. Cover and cook on high for 2-2½ hours, or until meat is fully cooked.
  9. Serve by itself or over pasta.
